With your hosts Jennifer Lindsey and Bernell McGehee
As a part of the
Bicentennial, there will be a walking
tour of Liberty at your leisure.
Maps and other information about the Tour
are now available.
The Tour begins and ends at the Amite
County Courthouse and should take around
two hours to complete.
The Audio portion
of the Tour consist of twenty-one (21)
MP3 files. They are identified as
STOP01 through STOP21 to coincide
with historical sites on the Walking
Tour.
A Map of the Walking
Tour is now available to be downloaded
here as a .pdf file-
Listening devices will be available at
the Amite County Tax Collector's office for a
limited time
beginning April 20 for the $5 rental fee.
Or just download to your personal MP3
Player.
We suggest you make a "computer folder"
named Walking Tour and copy all the file
to that folder. To save these mp3 files
to your computer, right click on the file
name (for example "STOP01") and select "Save Link As" You
can then save it to your "Desktop" or to
the "Walking Tour" folder. You
will need to download ALL twenty-one (21)
files to have a complete tour. Then you
can transfer the files to your I-Pod or
other MP3 player to listen as you enjoy
the walk.
